BRANTGATE SOLAR FARM PROJECT
Brantgate Solar is a 8 MW solar project located in part of Lots 1 and 2 on Concession 11 in Brant County, the project site is located on approximately 32 hectares.

Located in part of Lots 1 and 2 on Concession 11 in Brant County, the project site is located on approximately 32 hectares. The solar farm will be designed to produce 8 megawatts (AC) of power under the Feed-In Tariff (FIT) program that is currently offered by the Ontario Power Authority. The farm will use crystalline photovoltaic (PV) modules. The project will consist of approximately 44,000 PV modules, which will be grouped in arrays tilted and facing south. The module arrays are designed to be roughly 4.0 meters in height and they will be surrounded by a perimeter fence. Indigenous grasses/ground cover could be allowed to grow beneath and between the solar arrays.
Project Status
Potential economic benefit of a one-time payment of $125,000 based on Net Present Value of $12,000 per year royalties ($1,500 per MV) for 20 years.

Brantgate Solar reached commercial operation in June 2015. Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation received a one-time net present value payment of $125,000.
