Brantgate Solar Farm Project

Located in part of Lots 1 and 2 on Concession 11 in Brant County, the project site is located in approximately 32 hectares. The solar farm will be designed to produce 8 megawatts (AC) of power under the Feed-In Tariff (FIT) program that is currently offered by the Ontario Power Authority. Click here for more information
Dufferin Wind Farm

The Dufferin Wind Farm is located in Dufferin County. The 49 turbine farm will be capable of generating 91.4 megawatts in renewable energy under the Ontario Feed-in-tariff (FIT) program. In recognition of Six Nations land interests and the duty to consult, Dufferin Wind Power Inc. and the Six Nations Consultation and Accommodation Process (CAP) team has drafted a Community benefits agreement that provides Six Nations with $200,000 per year for 20 years, (based on $2188.18 per megawatt) totaling $4 million to be disbursed through the Six Nations of the Grand River Economic Development trust. First Solar Walpole Project

Located off of Army Camp Road, the project site is approximately 349 acres. The solar farm is producing 20 MW of energy under the Renewable Energy Standard Offer Program (RESOP) program (not the FIT program that is currently offered by the Ontario Power Authority). The farm is using thin film photovoltaic (PV) modules manufactured by First Solar. These panels were assembled by Six Nations community members at the Oneida Business Park. The Grand Renewable Energy Park (GREP) is located in South Cayuga, in Haldimand County, Ontario. It consists of two projects; Grand Renewable Wind and Grand Renewable Solar.
The Grand Renewable Wind LP project is a 149MW farm, consisting of 67 wind turbines, located on privately held land titles throughout South Cayuga.
The Grand Renewable Solar LP project is a 100MW farm, located in the County of Haldimand bounded by Mount Olivet Road to the west, Meadows Road to the north, Sutor Road to the east, and Haldimand Road 20 to the south for most of the site, with a small portion extending south of Haldimand Road 20. Gunn's Hill Wind Farm

Prowind Canada is developing the Gunn’s Hill Wind Farm on privately owned, land as well as municipal easements (electrical lines only) in the Township of Norwich, Oxford County, Ontario. The Project was awarded a Feed-In-Tariff contract with the Ontario Power Authority. The project is 25 megawatts with 10 wind turbines which will be owned and operated by Gunn’s Hill Windfarm Inc. McKenzie Meadows Development

The lands are located on the west side of McKenzie Road, South of Fuller Road in the urban area of Caledonia. The developer of the project is 2036356 Ontario Inc., and is a two-phased residential development project will consist of a minimum of 700 residential units up to a maximum of 1000. The entire land holding is approximately 107 acres, in which Phase 1 will develop 25.2 acres and 200 residential units. Click here for more information
NextEra Energy Summerhaven Project

NextEra Energy Canada, Summerhaven project is a wind project that is currently operating This 124.4 MW project consisting of 59 turbines, is located within the Nanticoke region of Haldimand County. The project is owned and operated by NextEra Energy Canada. The project holds a contract to sell power to the Ontario Power Authority under the Feed in Tariff Program.At the maximum generating capacity; the Summerhaven Wind Energy Centre will produce enough energy for approximately 32,000 homes in Ontario. Niagara Region Wind Project

The Niagara Region Wind Project is a 230MW renewable energy project located in the Township of West Lincoln, Town of Lincoln, Wainfleet and Haldimand County. The energy produced by the 77 turbines will be sold to the Ontario Power Authority under the FIt 1.3 program. Click here for more information
Port Dover and Nanticoke Wind Project

Capital Power’s, Port Dover and Nanticoke Wind Project is generating 105 megawatts in renewable energy which is being sold to the Ontario Power Authority under the Feed in Tariff (FIT) program. The project is owned and operated by Capital Power, and is located in the Counties of Haldimand and Norfolk, Ontario. This project commenced operation in November 2013 and consists of 58 turbines. Port Ryerse Wind Project

Boralex Inc. is developing the Port Ryerse Wind Power Project east of the hamlet of Port Ryerse in Norfolk County. The project was awarded to Feed-In-Tariff contract with the Ontario Power Authority on February 25 2011. The project is sited on privately-owned lands, where landowners have entered into a lease agreement with Boralex. The project is 10 megawatts with 4 wind turbines and will be owned and operated by Port Ryerse Wind Farm Limited Partnership. Click here for more information
Six Nations-IPA Enterprises Inc. Brewery Project

Six Nations Economic Development was approached by IPA Enterprises Inc. of Waterloo, On with an economic opportunity to be a majority partner in the Brewery to be located at the Oneida Business Park. It is anticipated that this business will generate approximately $2.2 to $4 million in annual revenues for Six Nations within 4 years of operation. The Brewery expects to create approximately 145 jobs during this period. The creation of this project would also require a waterline expansion on Fourth Line from Stoneridge to Oneida Business Park, in which IPA Enterprises has dedicated $2 million dollars towards this initiative. Welland Ridge and Norfolk Bloomsburg

These two projects will each generate 10 megawatts each in renewable energy which will be sold to the Ontario Power Authority under the Feed in Tariff (FIT) program. The projects will be owned and operated by SunEdison. The Norfolk Bloomsburg project commenced operation in May 2014 and the Welland Ridge project is currently under construction. The Community Benefits include a one-time Royalty Payment of $432,392.73 based on the net present value of $2000/MW over 20 years using a 7.14% discount rate. Click here for more information
